“I always wanted a home birth. I tried with my first, but was pushed hard by family to abandon that dream. I had two natural hospital births with midwives, but still was pushed into some interventions. I had stalled labor from outside stressors, annoying monitoring, and long hours of pacing on cold, dirty floors. "First time Mom here and I had no idea what to expect with a home birth but I always knew that’s the route I wanted to go. Cassandra was recommended by so many women and I’m grateful she had availability for me. After speaking with her during our consult, I had no doubts in the decision. "Even though my wife and I had always talked about having a home birth for our first child, I have to admit that as the husband, I was a bit nervous going to the initial meeting.
